7 Guilt-Free Snacks to Help You Stick to Your New Year's Resolution

By Dr. Juan Salinas

With 2022 here, you’ve probably set some New Year’s Resolutions that relate to healthy eating.

Don’t get us wrong: doing this is amazing. But many people struggle to eat well and often give up on their goals.

To make sure that doesn't happen to you, we’ve put together a list of seven simple, healthy, delicious, and guilt-free snacks you can have to eat well and stay on track.

1. Apple Slices With Peanut Butter

While the combination might seem unlikely, apple slices go well with peanut butter. The two tastes complement one another, and the result is a creamy and crunchy snack that will fill you up and provide a range of healthy nutrients.

Plus, this snack isn’t calorie-dense, which makes it the perfect guilt-free option you can use to keep hunger away and stick with your New Year’s Resolution.

2. Cucumber With Hummus

To keep the momentum of mixing a crunchy food with something creamy, we have cucumber slices and hummus. The combination works great because both foods are healthy and jam-packed with many nutrients your body needs.

Plus, similar to the previous snack, cucumbers and hummus are satiating and can fill you up for hours.

3. P-Nuff Crunch

The third option on today’s list is slightly different from the rest but no less tasty or good for you. P-Nuff Crunch snacks provide your body with high-quality protein, fiber, complex carbs, and some healthy fats.

Plus, the snack is highly satiating and offers no more than 130 calories per serving, making it a fantastic option even for people looking to shed fat.

4. Nuts

Nuts are a fantastic snack because they are nutritious, highly satiating, and great for curbing your cravings. Consuming nuts is linked to weight loss, improved cardiovascular health, and reduced risk of metabolic issues. Nuts also offer quality protein, heart-healthy fats, and digestion-aiding fiber.

5. Hard-Boiled Eggs

Who says simplicity can’t make for a good snack to help you stick with your new year’s resolution? Hard-boiled eggs taste great, fill you up, and offer plenty of healthy nutrients your body needs.

Among the many guilt-free snacks, hard-boiled eggs are a fantastic option because you can prepare them in bulk and have some available for up to a week.

6. Beef Jerky

Similar to nuts, beef jerky is an excellent source of protein. Jerky is also easy to transport and makes for the perfect snack for when you’re on the road.

The only thing to watch out for is the sodium content. Beef jerky tends to offer lots of sodium, so you should look at the nutritional label and choose one with no more than 300 mg of sodium per serving.

7. Oatmeal

Oats are truly a blessing. Aside from being cheap, oats are nutritious, filling, and incredibly versatile. Warm or cold, savory or sweet, oats taste well, provide your body with many of the nutrients it needs, and keep you energized for hours.

Oatmeal is a simple snack you can put together in five minutes and enjoy immediately or save for later. For example, you can mix some oats with milk, a scoop of protein powder and top it off with cinnamon for a powerful  and sweet snack.

Here at Pnuff Crunch, we encourage you to stay on course with your New Year's Resolution and we hope that these snack options help you with it.
